Director of Student Life
The Director of Student Life is delegated primary responsibility by the Principal for the overall long-term planning, coordination, development, and evaluation of programs in the areas of student life (i.e. student activities, student behavior, student safety, athletics, and attendance). Areas of primary direction include school-wide student life program development and monitoring, administrative support for exceptional student behavioral matters, staff professional development, and other related tasks and applicable student life matters. Counselors provide a set of services established as an integral part of the total school program. The professional school counselor will be a part of a Student Services team that includes one college counselor, one other school counselor, the Dean, Rankin Academic Support Program Teachers, and the Practicum Coordinator. The goal is to promote student growth and development. These services include: educational advisement, short-term personal counseling, consultation, assessment/evaluation, and referral. The substitute teacher will monitor students and their learning in the absence of the regularly scheduled teacher.
