The National Honor Society is a prestigious organization that serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.

To be eligible for admission to the Resurrection NHS Chapter, you must be a current sophomore, junior or senior who has maintained the academic requirement of a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.6 (out of 4.0) throughout your high school career.  Invitations will be sent out twice a year; midway through first semester and again at the midpoint of second semester.

It is both an accomplishment and honor to be invited to apply to the National Honor Society. It will require you to continue to maintain the high standards of scholarship, leadership, character, and service that NHS requires but it is well worth your continued efforts.

Understand that being a NHS member of the Charity and Truth Chapter is an honor.  You are held to a higher standard than all other Resurrection students. You must personally exhibit leadership, good character, scholarship and service on a  daily basis. You must submit 75 hours of service each full year of membership. You must maintain a 3.6 Cumulative G.P.A. You must serve as Secretaries for Parent Teacher Conferences. You must serve as both a drop in tutor in the Think Tank and a one-on-one tutor each year. Dues are $25 during the first year and $15 each year thereafter.

To apply, you will need to complete the application that you received from the NHS moderators, submit two teacher recommendations, and document completion of 20 service hours. The application will contain pertinent information related to these requirements.

If you have any questions please see Ms.Lenihan in room 104 or Ms. Fumic in room 108.
