Meet our 2018 Award Recipients

 

Jennifer Kohnke ’73  - 2018 Renaissance Award

 

The Resurrection Renaissance Award is the school’s highest honor bestowed to those who embrace new ideas and forward movement.  Jennifer is a former recipient of our Blessed Celine Award and is a Resurrection Wall of Honor member. She is the creative artist for WGN-TV News and weather graphic artist for Tom Skilling. Jennifer Kohnke is also a fine artist, illustrator, and graphic artist. She has enthusiastically participated in our annual Career Days and is a true champion for Res. She is fondly remembered for her artwork as illustrator of the Res Banner during her tenure on the publication. As an alumna of the Resurrection Class of 1973, Jennifer Kohnke has used her skills as an artist, illustrator and collaborator to enrich, renew and strengthen her community.  We are pleased to honor Jennifer Kohnke as the 2018 Renaissance Award recipient.

Kathy Rzany - 2018 Charity & Truth Award

 

The Charity & Truth Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to Resurrection College Prep High School through their generosity of time, talent, and treasure.  Kathy Rzany, a former Resurrection teacher, administrator, principal, and board member has been a dedicated friend to Resurrection for many years. She has also served as a grade school and high school principal and adjunct member of the faculty at Dominican University School of Education. Kathy Rzany has demonstrated her strong passion to creating education excellence throughout her career and we are pleased to honor as the 2018 Charity & Truth Award recipient.
