Meg-A-Thon 2009 Recap
Meg-A-Thon, our student lead fundraiser, was held on Tuesday, April 7th. Students were encouraged to bring in $50 each in sponsorship money to choose which 90 minute Meg-A-Thon activity they would participate in. Student focus groups selected how this money would be spent: new touch-less bathroom faucets and courtyard picnic tables. If the school reached 95% participation and $38,000 in sponsorship money ($50 average per student), students would also earn a day off of school! Our student efforts fell short of participation goals (only 69%) and so did not earn the day off of school, but Meg-A-Thon 2009 did bring in a record high of $28,804.25 for our school. As a result 18 bathroom faucets will be replaced and the students have been enjoying the new courtyard picnic tables.
We would like to thank the students, parents, families, friends and businesses who supported Meg-A-Thon 2009. Following is a list of all of the sponsors who supported Meg-A-Thon with a $25 donation or greater! We thank and acknowledge them for their support of Resurrection High School and our students!
