The Rankin Academic Support Program

The Rankin Academic Support Program is a college preparatory course of studies for students who require additional support with Resurrection's rigorous college preparatory curriculum.

The program, named in honor of former Resurrection educator Sr. Joyce Rankin, C.R., provides small-group resource and classroom instruction.

Students enrolled in the program have either a class period which offers learning strategies, skills reinforcement and individual assistance from a qualified resource teacher who collaborates with students' classroom teachers, or a resource period in which the students are part of a guided study with a resource teacher.  Students are afforded moderate accommodations/modifications and are taught life-long learning skills which will enable them to set and achieve their academic goals now and in the future.

Recognizing that each student has God given talents and a unique learning style, the Rankin Academic Support Program assists students in developing the skills and strategies necessary to build on their strengths, reach their academic potential, and become independent learners.
