English Teacher & Division Chair
Resurrection College Prep High School, a Catholic college preparatory school for young women on the northwest side of Chicago, is seeking a full-time English Teacher who will also serve as Division Chair for the 2026-2027 school year. This leadership role supports the school’s Catholic and Lasallian mission while advancing a rigorous, college-preparatory English program grounded in best instructional practices.
In addition to teaching assigned English courses, the Division Chair provides curriculum leadership using the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework, ensures vertical and horizontal alignment across courses, facilitates department collaboration, supports instructional coaching, and guides data-informed decision-making. The role also includes mentoring teachers, coordinating assessments and instructional resources, and serving as a liaison between administration and the English department.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in English (or a related field) and possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License. A master’s degree and prior secondary teaching experience are preferred, along with demonstrated instructional leadership skills.

The coordinator will teach Practicum, Career Planning and Development, and Introduction to Business while overseeing job-shadow placements for 80–100 juniors and seniors. Responsibilities include preparing students for professional settings, coordinating field experiences across industries, and building strong partnerships with mentors, parents, alumnae, and community leaders.
Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field (Illinois Professional Educator License preferred) and have at least five years of high school teaching experience.
