Aubrey to Attend HOBY Leadership Seminar as Resurrection Ambassador

Sophomore Aubrey Pulido has been selected to represent Resurrection College Prep as a HOBY Ambassador and will attend the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership seminar in the summer of 2026. Aubrey was nominated for this opportunity in recognition of her strong leadership presence and commitment to service within the Resurrection community.

When Aubrey learned she had been chosen, she felt both grateful and excited for what lies ahead. “I felt overjoyed. I was incredibly grateful that I was nominated for such an amazing opportunity, and I was very excited to participate in this program,” she shared.

Aubrey was inspired to take part in HOBY because of its hands-on workshops and leadership-focused activities. She is looking forward to developing skills she can bring back to Resurrection, while gaining confidence and a deeper understanding of what it means to be an effective leader.

At Resurrection, Aubrey actively practices leadership through her role in the Student Ambassador Program. By volunteering at school events, she helps welcome future Bandits and represents the school with pride. These experiences have helped her grow as a leader and prepared her to fully engage in the leadership opportunities offered at HOBY.

One moment that stands out for Aubrey was serving as a tour leader during Open House. She guided prospective families through the school, sharing what makes Resurrection special and helping them feel at home. This year, Aubrey also led tour groups alongside a freshman Student Ambassador tour shadow. She enjoyed setting an example and supporting a younger student as she experienced her first Open House. Leading tours has strengthened Aubrey’s confidence and reinforced her love for contributing to Resurrection’s welcoming community.

Looking ahead, Aubrey plans to bring what she learns at HOBY back to Resurrection by becoming an even more active leader and encouraging others to step into leadership roles as well. Through personal, group, and service leadership training, she hopes to reflect on her current skills, improve them, and collaborate with others to make a meaningful impact within the school community.

What excites Aubrey most about attending HOBY is the opportunity to grow alongside other students who are passionate about leadership and service. She is especially looking forward to the service aspect of the program and learning how to best use her time and talents to help her community.

The HOBY Leadership Seminar brings together students from across the state for a transformative experience centered on leadership, service, and personal growth. More information about the program can be found at hoby.org.

Resurrection is proud to have Aubrey represent the school and looks forward to seeing how she continues to lead, serve, and inspire others.
