The Bandit Rundown Wraps First Season with 8 Episodes and Big Impact

What started as a Religion 4 project turned into a groundbreaking initiative at Resurrection College Prep: the school’s first-ever student-run podcast, The Bandit Rundown. Over the course of the school year, student hosts Julianna, Ava, Karsyn, Abby, and Maria produced eight episodes filled with energy, insight, and heart—capturing the spirit of the Bandit community in every conversation.

The podcast tackled topics from pep rallies, game schedules, and study tips to mental health awareness and personal stories. With each episode, the student team gave their peers a platform to share their voices, spotlight important issues, and build community in a whole new way.

One of the founding student hosts, Ava Santiago ’25, reflected on the impact:

“It’s honestly kind of surreal, but in a good way. It feels great to know that people are tuning in and that our podcast is becoming a part of the school’s culture. It’s cool to think that our voices are contributing to something bigger, and that we’re helping shape how the school communicates with everyone.”

Mrs. Carla Krajcir, who guided the podcast team, said:

“It was wonderful to be able to take my 10 years of broadcast experience and teach these students to use their voice for good. Watching them grow more confident in their storytelling and media skills was incredibly rewarding.”

The Bandit Rundown is more than just a podcast—it’s a student-driven storytelling platform. With the success of this year’s season, Resurrection plans to keep the momentum going by inviting a whole new team of students to take the reins next year.

As Resurrection continues to empower students to tell their stories, The Bandit Rundown will remain a proud example of how student media can amplify voices and connect a community.
