2026–2027 Pick-Up & Drop-Off Procedures

 

The safety of our students is always our top priority. As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we want to thank our families for your continued partnership in helping keep arrival and dismissal safe, efficient, and organized.

Our Security and Operations teams monitor traffic flow each day and have seen great progress thanks to the cooperation of our school community. By following the procedures below, we can continue to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and provide a safe environment for everyone on campus.

Single Lane Only

All pick-up and drop-off traffic must remain in a single lane at all times. Double parking or creating a second lane blocks emergency vehicle access and creates unsafe conditions for students entering and exiting vehicles.

Pull Forward

Please pull forward as far as possible before stopping in the pick-up or drop-off line. Moving vehicles forward allows more cars to enter the campus, helps reduce backups on Oriole Avenue, and keeps traffic moving efficiently.

Curbside Pick-Up Only

Students should always enter and exit vehicles from the curbside. Crossing between vehicles or entering a car from a traffic lane creates unnecessary safety risks.

Student Driver Seat Transitions

If a student driver is switching seats with a parent or guardian, please move as far away from the main entrance as possible before making the transition. Because these changes take additional time, completing them away from the main traffic flow helps prevent delays for other families. When possible, consider using an alternate parking area instead of the main pick-up lane.

Use Available Parking Areas

Families who need additional time or prefer a more flexible pick-up are encouraged to park in the designated spaces near Door 7 or the softball field and have their student walk to the vehicle.

Respect Our Neighbors

Please do not park on both sides of Oriole Avenue. Doing so creates congestion, limits visibility, and restricts access for emergency vehicles while impacting our surrounding neighborhood.

Help Reduce Traffic

Families can also help improve traffic flow by:

• Carpooling whenever possible.

• Arriving closer to 3:15 p.m., when dismissal traffic is typically lighter.

• Coordinating pick-up at nearby safe locations when appropriate.

Our Security and Operations teams will continue directing traffic and monitoring arrival and dismissal throughout the school year. These procedures are designed to provide the safest possible environment for our students, families, staff, and neighbors.
