Celebrating the Class of 2025: A Century of Sisterhood and Success
On May 22, 2025, Resurrection College Prep proudly celebrated its 100th graduating class at the historic Holy Name Cathedral. The Class of 2025, composed of 123 remarkable young women, not only honored a century-long legacy but also embodied the excellence, resilience, and spirit that define Resurrection.
This year’s ceremony included a special musical tribute from the Shannon Rovers, a nod to tradition and celebration that made the evening unforgettable. A touching Alumnae Presentation honored 31 alumnae and their graduating daughters—highlighting the powerful legacy of a Resurrection education passed from generation to generation.
The Class of 2025 graduates with a 100% college acceptance rate, having earned admission to 154 colleges and universities across the country. Their collective achievements are nothing short of extraordinary:
Notable scholarships include:
• Mikenna Doyle, recipient of the prestigious Chick Evans Scholarship, valued at approximately $300,000
• Multiple Catholic Heritage and Presidential Scholarships, with awards ranging up to $124,000
• Nearly all merit-based awards totaling $18,000 or more
With the addition of the Class of 2025, our Resurrection alumnae family now stands 15,179 strong—a testament to the power of an all-girls Catholic education rooted in faith, leadership, and service.
This year’s Valedictorian, Kelly Ann Fergus, graduates with a stunning GPA of 4.6735. A four-year athlete in Cross Country and Track, Kelly is also an Illinois State Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, and a leader in both NHS and Key Club. She will be attending the University of Florida.
Our Salutatorian, Riley McGrath, earned a 4.5985 GPA. She’s a four-year diver, active member of the Broadcaster’s Club, and a lifelong altar server. Riley will attend North Carolina State University to study Civil Engineering while competing on the school’s diving team.
This ceremony was more than a graduation—it was the culmination of years of growth, sisterhood, and perseverance. Congratulations to the Class of 2025! Your story is only beginning, and we can't wait to see how you shape the world.
