Honoring Our First Responders at Resurrection College Prep

Honoring Our First Responders at Resurrection College Prep

Earlier this week, Resurrection College Prep came together for one of our most meaningful traditions of the year, the First Responders Liturgy & Reception. It was a powerful and prayerful celebration dedicated to recognizing the women and men who serve our communities as police officers, firefighters, and paramedics.

Our school community was honored to welcome students, families, and guests for a special Mass centered on gratitude and appreciation. This liturgy offered us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the courage, selflessness, and commitment of first responders, especially those who are members of our Resurrection families.

The celebration was made even more memorable through a special performance by the Shannon Rovers, whose music added a moving and festive spirit to the day. Their presence helped create an atmosphere of celebration and reverence, underscoring the importance of the occasion.

Following the liturgy, guests were invited to a light reception, providing time for fellowship and connection. It was a wonderful opportunity for students and families to personally thank the first responders in attendance and to share in conversation and community.

Events like this remind us of the deep connections within our school community and the importance of honoring those who dedicate their lives to protecting others. At Resurrection, we are grateful for the chance to come together in faith and appreciation, recognizing the sacrifices made every day by first responders.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who participated, helped organize, and contributed to making the day so meaningful. It was truly a beautiful celebration of service, gratitude, and community.
