Welcoming Our Newest Bandits: Freshman and Transfer Orientation

Friday marked an exciting milestone as Resurrection College Prep opened its doors to welcome both the Class of 2029 and our newest transfer students for Orientation Day. This important introduction to life at RES was more than just a schedule walk-through, it was the first step in each student’s Bandit journey.

Throughout the morning, students met the people who will support and guide them over the next four years, including administrators, faculty members, Schoology and technology staff, and their upperclasswoman mentors. Classmates connected through icebreakers and group activities designed to help them feel comfortable and confident in their new environment.

Students walked through their daily schedules and found each of their classrooms, practiced opening their lockers, and learned tips and tools that will help them succeed from day one, including how to use their Chromebook and Schoology accounts. Along the way, they became familiar with our campus and discovered what makes Resurrection such a welcoming and spirited community.

The morning finished with lunch in the cafeteria where students continued making connections and began building the friendships that will carry them through their high school journey.

Orientation played an important part in helping students feel prepared and excited, and we were honored to walk alongside them as they began writing their Resurrection story.

Welcome, Bandits, this is just the beginning.
