Dear Resurrection Community,
This year’s theme for our ministry team is that we are all on a pilgrimage, a personal and communal journey of faith that deepens a sense of mission and purpose within individuals and a community. Our communal pilgrimage for the 2021-2022 school year begins today as we offer to you our fall reentry plan. The COVID-19 Reentry Plan includes safety mitigation efforts for COVID-19, school procedures, and our class bell schedule. We did our best to anticipate the questions you will have and possible situations that will arise. Please read the plan carefully with your daughter. As you know from last year, we will be regularly consulting with our community, local health agencies and the archdiocesan COVID-19 task force to determine what works best for Resurrection College Prep. As the situation evolves, the protocols below will be modified as determined by school leadership.
This past year was stressful on each of us in unique ways, which has given us a chance to rethink or recommit to our values. As we prepare to welcome back our students in the coming days, our commitment remains the same: to provide our young women with the tools and resources necessary to actively develop their God-given talents. In order to do this, we want to provide them with a high-quality, collaborative in-person educational experience in a safe environment infused with the RES spirit.
Thank you to everyone that responded to our parent survey regarding vaccinations and masking. We had a 62% response rate to the survey, which was incredibly helpful. The responses were split evenly by grade level. According to this initial survey, 65% of our students will be fully vaccinated by the time school starts. In addition, 11% of you reported that your daughter will get vaccinated soon. We will continue to follow the guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), which accredits us as an Illinois approved non-public high school, along with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDHP) in making COVID-19 related decisions for the school year. As such, we will begin the school year with all members of the school community wearing masks while on campus, regardless of vaccination status.
2021-2022 Vaccination Record Collection
Your daughter will be receiving an email this week through her Resurrection account asking her to submit her vaccination record. The survey will have three substantial questions which will include are you vaccinated, when was the last date of your final vaccine dose and will ask your daughter to upload a picture of her vaccine card. Please have your daughter submit this information before her first day of school. Anyone who does not respond to the survey will be considered unvaccinated. We are sending this email to your daughter’s account, so that we can effectively track and keep confidential your family responses.
Please continue to pray for the Resurrection community and all schools as we journey together through these trying times. We know that you make great sacrifices for your daughters to be educated at Resurrection College Prep High School! We appreciate your ongoing support, patience, flexibility, and commitment. We are privileged to partner with you in forming the next generation of women whose voices, values, and vision will change the world.
Please feel free to contact Ms. Colleen Brewer, Principal, if you have any questions about anything related to Fall return to school.
Until then, we remain yours in De La Salle,
