The Girls’ School Advantage at Resurrection College Prep

The Girls’ School Advantage at Resurrection College Prep

Research from the International Coalition of Girls’ Schools highlights what we see every day at Resurrection College Prep: when girls learn in an environment designed just for them, they thrive.

What does it truly mean to attend an all-girls school?

Research from the International Coalition of Girls’ Schools highlights what we see every day at Resurrection College Prep: when girls learn in an environment designed just for them, they thrive.

Challenged to Achieve Their Full Potential
Girls’ school students report significantly higher levels of academic challenge compared to their peers in coeducational settings. In fact, the majority say their classes push them to achieve their full academic potential. At Resurrection, this commitment to rigor is part of who we are. Our students are encouraged to ask bold questions, take intellectual risks, and lead classroom discussions with confidence.

Leadership Is the Norm, Not the Exception
A majority of girls’ school graduates say they were offered greater leadership opportunities than their peers at coed schools, and 80% have held leadership positions since graduation. At Resurrection, leadership is woven into daily life, whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, on the stage, or through service initiatives. Our students don’t wait for permission to lead; they step forward.

STEM Confidence Soars
Girls’ school graduates are six times more likely to consider majoring in STEM fields compared to girls who attend coed schools. In Resurrection’s STREAM program, young women explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math in an environment where their voices are heard and their ideas matter. They see themselves as innovators, researchers, and problem-solvers.

A Culture of Support
Students at girls’ schools report higher levels of support from classmates and teachers than peers at coed schools. Resurrection’s sisterhood is one of our greatest strengths. Our students cheer for one another, collaborate openly, and build lifelong friendships grounded in encouragement and mutual respect.

A Vision for the Future
Two-thirds of girls’ school students expect to earn a graduate or professional degree. More than 80% of girls’ school graduates consider their academic performance highly successful. These outcomes reflect something deeper than statistics; they reflect confidence, preparation, and belief in one’s ability to lead.

At Resurrection College Prep, we are proud to be part of a global network committed to elevating women’s leadership by educating and empowering ethical, globally minded changemakers. The research confirms what our alumnae already know:

The girls’ school advantage is real, and it is transformational.
