Coming Full Circle: RES Alumna Hannah De Cicco ’22 Returns to Teach

For Hannah De Cicco ’22, returning to Resurrection College Prep High School is more than a new job—it’s a chance to give back to the school community that helped shape her.

After graduating from RES in 2022, Hannah went on to attend Iowa State University, where she recently graduated. Now, she is back in the halls of RES as a member of the faculty, teaching Religion and English.

“I’m so excited to be back at RES,” Hannah shared. “I’ll be teaching Religion and English courses here.”

While Hannah is beginning a new chapter as a teacher, some of her favorite memories of RES come from her own time as a student. One memory in particular stands out from her senior year.

Hannah and a group of classmates had planned to participate in the L.I.V.E. immersion experience in Montana. When COVID-19 prevented the trip from happening, the group found a special way to make the experience memorable right here at home.

“Because of COVID, we could not go to Montana, but we spent the night at RES, hanging out and watching a movie,” Hannah recalled. “It was so fun!”

From spending a night in the library with friends to now returning to those same hallways as a teacher, Hannah’s journey is a wonderful example of the lasting connection RES creates with its alumnae.

We are thrilled to welcome Hannah home and look forward to seeing the impact she will make on the next generation of RES students!
