Resurrection Welcomes New Director of Athletics, Mr. Carter McFarland

Resurrection College Prep is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Carter McFarland as the school’s new Director of Athletics, beginning summer 2025. With a career spanning leadership roles at NCAA Division I institutions including UCLA, Tulane University, and Iona College, Mr. McFarland brings a wealth of experience in athletic operations, fundraising, student development, and team management.

His appointment comes at a pivotal time as Resurrection reimagines its athletic program as a vital part of the student experience. Mr. McFarland will report directly to Dr. Rick Piwowarski, President, as part of a renewed vision to build a robust, mission-driven program that aligns with the school’s Lasallian values and supports the holistic growth of every student.

“Mr. McFarland’s impressive background and student-first approach will help elevate our athletic department while keeping our mission and values at the center,” said Dr. Piwowarski. “He’s the right leader to guide our program into its next chapter.”

With the athletic wing renovation underway and a clear vision for the future, Mr. McFarland’s leadership marks an exciting new era for Bandit athletics.
