DISCOVER STREAM: WHERE CURIOSITY MEETS INNOVATION
The STREAM Program at Resurrection College Prep is a four-year interdisciplinary academic pathway designed for students who are curious, motivated, and interested in solving real-world problems through inquiry, innovation, and ethical reflection.
STREAM integrates:
- Scientific and technical thinking
- Engineering and design
- Creative expression and innovation
- Ethical reasoning grounded in Catholic and Lasallian values
- Research, collaboration, and communication
Students learn not only what to know; but how knowledge is created, applied, questioned, and communicated.
WHY IS STREAM AN ELECTIVE (NOT A SCIENCE CREDIT)
STREAM courses do not replace core science classes such as Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
While STREAM uses scientific thinking; it is intentionally designed as an interdisciplinary research and innovation course, similar to honors seminars, capstone programs, or innovation labs.
STREAM focuses on: Inquiry and research • Design thinking and problem-solving • Ethical and social impact • Presentation, reflection, and communication
Colleges value STREAM courses as rigorous, high-impact electives, especially when paired with strong core science coursework.
WHO THRIVES IN STREAM?
We welcome students who demonstrate:
- A solid background in math and science, along with teacher insights that suggest readiness for honors-level inquiry.
- A natural curiosity to ask complex questions, comfort with open-ended problems, an eagerness to collaborate, and the resilience to revise and improve work.
- An interest in engaging with long-term projects, conducting independent research, and sharing discoveries through public presentations.
