Celebrating Mike Longo

We would like to show our appreciation for Mike Longo’s 43 years of educating the young women of Resurrection by creating a book of gratitude that will be presented to Mr. Longo as he transitions to a new role at Resurrection. Mr. Longo will continue on as Chamber Orchestra Director, substitute teacher, and a club moderator for Key Club, Celtic Club and Modern Music Masters (Tri-M) Honor Society.

Mr. Mike Longo, Resurrection Religious Studies teacher and Chamber Orchestra director, holds a Master’s degree in Music and Humanities from DePaul University and a Master’s degree in Religious Studies from Loyola University.  In March 2016 Mr. Longo was awarded the Lead. Learn. Proclaim. Award by the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) in honor of his excellence and distinguished service in Catholic school education.

Mr. Longo will also continue to teach adult enrichment courses in the fall and spring - check out information about his fall course, "Darkness in the Light of Democracy." He will also continue his long-standing role as a coordinator for the Northwest Side Hunger Walk - mark your calendar for this year’s Northwest Side Hunger Walk on Sunday, September 29, 2019!
