Varsity Basketball Wins Regionals

Varsity Bowling Competes Well in State Finals

The bowling program had an exceptional season. Both the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams were champions of the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference (GCAC). The Varsity team went on to win Regionals and qualify for state. At the state tournament the Bandits had the 2nd highest finish in team history, finishing in 17th place. Two bowlers placed individually in the state tournament for the first time in Resurrection Bowling History. Kacey Spachner finished 44th and Mia Kottke was 33rd.

Booster Club – Cubs Concessions Meeting | Wednesday, April 19th at 6:00 p.m.

We have moved the April 5th Booster Club meeting to be held on Wednesday, April 19th due to Spring Break. The meeting will be our leads training meeting for working Cubs games at Wrigley Field. For those that are new to Resurrection, each sports team does one game at Wrigley Field as a fundraiser for the Athletic Booster Club. It takes 12-16 volunteers and one “Lead Trained” person. The goal is to have these games almost entirely parent-run for the coaches. To do that we need volunteers and lead trained parents.

The day is a long one, but a fun one. Volunteers have to report to Levy Foods (right next to Wrigley) 4 hours and 20 minutes before the start of the game. Then after the game stay for cleanup for about 45 minutes. Working a Cubs game counts for a family’s six athletic volunteer hours.
