Varsity Basketball Honored for Top GPA in Division One

Congratulations to the Resurrection Varsity Basketball team for finishing with the highest grade point average in Division One of the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-State Academic Teams. The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association’s annual All State Academic Team ranks teams with the highest unweighted cumulative grade point averages (GPAs) for each player to calculate the overall team GPA. The Resurrection Varsity Basketball team was awarded First Place for District One, which includes the City of Chicago. The team will be recognized at the association’s annual banquet and receive a plaque in September.
This is a great accomplishment for the Bandits Varsity Basketball team, and demonstrates that Resurrection truly has student-athletes who value both athletics AND academics, along with supportive faculty and staff that support the student-athletes. Way to go BANDITS!
