Bowling
Bowling provides high school girls with more than just a chance to compete; it fosters resilience, discipline, and camaraderie. At Resurrection High School, Coach Rick Clark has been instrumental in cultivating these values. Over his remarkable 17-season tenure, Clark's leadership has helped the Resurrection bowling team achieve an extraordinary GCAC record of 194 wins to 11 losses. His teams have claimed 17 GCAC Championships, with 12 undefeated seasons—a testament to the high level of skill, strategy, and dedication he instills in his athletes.
Coach Clark’s achievements extend to the state level, guiding his team to five IHSA State Final appearances and supporting individual players as they excel, with many going on to become GCAC Bowler of the Year. Through his commitment, he has helped countless players reach their potential, both on the lanes and in life. Bowling under Clark's mentorship allows students to set and achieve goals, build confidence, and find lifelong friendships. His legacy at Resurrection showcases how sports like bowling can impact students positively, teaching them focus, teamwork, and the importance of perseverance—qualities that extend well beyond the game.
