Mass of Thanksgiving - November 2020

Liturgies at Resurrection College Prep continue to be pre-recorded and shared with the school community, due to COVID precautions. We miss being together for all of these worship services, but especially our November 2020 Mass of Thanksgiving, honoring our scholarship donors and recipients.

The liturgy was celebrated by Father Robert Carlton, with readings by two student lectors and a special reflection by scholarship recipient Kiera Figueroa.  We deeply appreciate all of the scholarship donors who continue to support the education of young women at Resurrection. 

On behalf of Resurrection College Prep High School, we thank you for your support and look forward to when we can celebrate in person together again.

As Jesus continued his journey to Jerusalem,
He traveled through Samaria and Galilee.
As he was entering a village, ten persons with leprosy met him.
They stood at a distance from him and raised their voices, saying,
"Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!"
And when he saw them, he said,
"Go show yourselves to the priests."
As they were going they were cleansed.
And one of them, realizing he had been healed,
returned, glorifying God in a loud voice;
and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him.
He was a Samaritan.
Jesus said in reply,
"Ten were cleansed, were they not?
Where are the other nine?
Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?"
Then he said to him, "Stand up and go;
your faith has saved you."

In thanksgiving for the Sisters of the Resurrection and  the Christian Brothers of the Midwest, for their visions and commitment to education, and for providing young women with the opportunity to  develop their God-given talents. We pray to the Lord

In thanksgiving for all scholarship donors and those who give to our school. That they might feel our appreciation and gratitude for their giving. We pray to the Lord:
