Holy Week Around the World

Check out this article about Holy Week celebrations around the world:

Holy Week Around the World

Activity: Let’s Talk About it!
After learning about the ways in which Holy Week is celebrated around the world, let’s think on how we celebrate this week.

  1. What are some ways you have celebrated Holy Week in the past? Did your school or parish do something special?

  2. What traditions from other countries would you like to add to your own celebrations?

Forgiving Hands

Reflection: Take a minute to reflect silently, or journal

Start by saying the Our Father, when praying focus on the words “And forgive us our trespasses,  as we forgive those who trespass against us.”

  1. Reflect on some of your “trespasses” - what do you wish to be forgiven for?.

  2. Reflect on those who have trespassed against you - are you ready to forgive them?

  3. Read the following verse and reflect on it

“If you forgive men their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.”  Matthew 6:14–15

Easter Blessings!

While the current worldwide pandemic is one of the most challenging experiences most of us have ever had, we are full of HOPE for the future! Easter reminds us that no matter how difficult life can be, love conquers all challenges and the Risen Christ shows us that love conquers death. At Resurrection, we experience this love and hope in our students and community members, people who are resilient, creative, kind and generous.

As we celebrate Easter, let us remember that God loves each of us tenderly. May the Risen Christ bring you joy, peace and the assurance of God's love and protective presence.

We invite you to visit the resources available here, including links to celebrate Easter Mass and other resources for this holy season. We also invite you to view a special Easter message from Resurrection friend and St. Paul of the Cross pastor, Father Britto Berchmans.
