Service Opportunity - St. Juliana Camp Invention 
June 15-19, 2020

St. Juliana School is seeking high school volunteers to work at Camp Invention this summer at St. Juliana School, 7400 W Touhy Ave, Chicago, IL 60631.  Camp Invention is a one-week summer STEM Camp for students in grades Kindergarten through 6. Camp takes place the week of June 15-19 and we are in need of some high school volunteers for our program team.  An integral part of our team includes high school or college-age Volunteer Leadership Interns. They are important to our week as they will work directly with our K-6th grade campers! Their role is to help campers brainstorm, assist them with solving problems, and be their mentor throughout the week. 

For participating during the week of camp, Volunteer Leadership Interns will receive the following: 
- 40 Service Learning Hours
- Specialized training in Leadership and Intellectual Property
- A letter of recognition from the United States Patent and Trademark Office
- This is great for college and scholarship applications!

Service Opportunities - Immaculate Conception St. Joseph’s Table 2020
Sat, March 21 and/or Sun, March 22 - shifts available

Immaculate Conception Parish (7211 W Talcott Ave, Chicago) will be hosting a St. Joseph’s table and is seeking student volunteers. Student volunteers are welcome to work on Saturday, March 21 from approximately 9:30 am to 4:30 pm for set-up, and on Sunday, March 22 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm to help with set-up, serving, and cleanup. Service Opportunities - St Ferdinand Fish Fry 2020
Thursday & Fridays during Lenten season

St. Ferdinand Parish hosts a Fish Fry on Fridays during Lent and has service opportunities for students on Fridays from Feb 28 to April 3. Thursday evening opportunities are also available to help with set-up. The Fish Fry will be six weeks during the Lenten season at 3131 N. Mason, Chicago. Service Opportunity - Our Place
Saturday, April 4, 2020

Volunteers are needed to work at a casual fundraising event in support of Our Place, a non-profit that supports teens and adults with developmental disabilities so that they can live meaningful, productive, socially connected lives in their home community. Volunteers will serve pizza to program participants, families and supporters of the organization at this casual fundraising event on Saturday, April 4th from 4 to 10 pmShifts are available for all or part of the event. The event will be held at the Takiff Center, 999 Green Bay Rd, Glencoe, IL 60022. Service Opportunity - 41st Ward Snow Angels Snowshoveling Program
Winter 2019-20

Service Opportunity - Hiawatha Park ”Breakfast with the Grinch”
Sunday, December 8, 2019
Hiawatha Park is hosting 'Breakfast with the Grinch' on Sunday, December 8, 2019, and they are seeking volunteers for set up, during the event at different stations (food/beverage, kids activities, photo op) and clean up when the event is over.

Volunteers are needed from 9 am -1 pm (2 hour increments also available from 9 am -11 am or 11 am - 1 pm). Please contact Rose Dante at or 773.574.7271 to volunteer.

Service Opportunities - Norwood Park Historical Society Craft Show
November 8, November 9 and November 17

The Norwood Park Historical Society Craft Show is held each year at the Crippen House located at 5624 Newark Avenue in Chicago. They are looking for students who need service hours to help out at the above location for the following dates and times:

Friday, November 8, 12 to 5 (or after school until 5)
Saturday, November 9, 8 to 2
Sunday November 17, 10 to 3

Service Opportunity - Eugene Field Park Cornucopia Festival
Saturday, September 28 

Eugene Field Park Advisory Council is seeking responsible and hard-working volunteers to help us at Eugene Field Park's Annual Cornucopia Festival. Students can earn up to 10 service learning hours at this event! Eugene Field Park Advisory Council is a 501(c)3 organization that helps to advocate for, advise and assist Eugene Field Park and its staff in an effort to turn the park into the heart of our community. Cornucopia is our major fundraiser, which will also provide a low cost community event that helps brings our neighbors together.

When: Saturday September 28 (festival 10 am-3 pm)
Volunteers can sign-up for a three hour shift or multiple shift for that day (including all day).
The time shifts are as follows:
7:00 am-10:00 am
9:30 am-12:30 pm
12:30 pm-3:30 pm
2:00 pm-5:00 pm

Volunteer responsibilities will include ticket sales, set-up & tear-down, and manning the various activities (pony rides, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, bouncy house).

Service Opportunities - The Catacombs, St. Pascal Haunted House
October 2019

The Catacombs, St. Pascal Haunted House, is looking for volunteers for the upcoming haunted house at St. Pascal Parish during weekends in October.
ORIENTATION:  Tuesday, October 1st at 6 pm at the PFGA South Campus, 6143 W. Irving Park, Chicago, IL 60634 (note: alternate arrangements can be made if a volunteer is unavailable for the October 1st orientation)

3) Review the HAUNT RULES with a parent or guardian
