2021 Abe Lincoln Book Award Nominees
Illinois Teen Readers' Choice Nominees
The Abe Lincoln Book Award is an annual award given to the author of the book voted most outstanding by students in grades nine through twelve in participating Illinois schools. This program encourages teens to read for pleasure and to become lifelong readers. Named after former President Abraham Lincoln, an avid reader and noted author, the Lincoln Award is sponsored by ISLMA (Illinois School Library Media Association) and administered by the steering committee. Each year, a panel of high school librarians, teachers, public librarians and students determines the final master list. Below are brief overviews for many of the 2021 Award Nominees for the Illinois' High School Readers' Choice Award. Students are encouraged to read and participate in Resurrection library activities and voting in conjunction with the program.
